Majority of Millennials Say Influencers Influence their Purchases 


In its third version of Millennial Purchasing Habits Development Report, CouponFollow analyzed the buying, spending and saving habits of American Millennials. The information confirmed that Millennials do most of their buying on-line, and their elevated social media engagement is a robust driver of shifts within the ecommerce market. 

Greater than 70% of Millennials modified their buying patterns due to the pandemic. Now, 4 out of 5 Millennials do majority of their buying on-line, with greater than half (56%) saying they store on their cell gadgets.

Greater than two-thirds of Millennials (78%) say they now observe manufacturers on social media, and greater than half of these respondents (54%) reported that their buying habits are most affected by social media platforms like Fb (28%) and Instagram (27%). For Millennials beneath 30, TikTok is the principle social media platform shaping their buying habits. 

Millennials, who now symbolize the most important group of customers available in the market with $2.5 trillion in spending energy, are telling the market how and why they purchase.
