Mary Kay Pledges to Plant 100,000 Timber in 2023


Mary Kay, as a part of its 60th anniversary and 15-year partnership with the Arbor Day Basis, introduced new reforestation tasks for 2023, together with the planting of 100,000 timber. 

“We’re so thrilled to proceed this partnership by delivering large-scale impression in forests throughout the globe,” stated Katie Loos, Arbor Day Basis President. “For 15 years, Mary Kay has been dedicated to offering significant restoration efforts within the locations that want them most. Our companions in pink proceed to show their inexperienced thumb by strategic reforestation tasks that spotlight their dedication to serving as environmental stewards for the planet.” 

Included in these tasks would be the planting of 80,000 timber to help habitat restoration in Georgia; 12,000 timber to help wildfire restoration within the Lassen Nationwide Forest in California; 4,000 timber to assist watershed restoration in Mexico’s Cerro Pelon Butterfly Sanctuary; and 4,000 timber to help wildlife restoration in Belorado, Spain. 

“Deforestation and local weather change may price the worldwide economic system many billions over the approaching years—our hope at Mary Kay is that these tasks reduce these impacts whereas offering useful wildlife habitats,” stated Deborah Gibbins, Mary Kay Inc. Chief Working Officer. “These newly planted forests will develop and supply useful sources, ecosystem companies, and an enduring legacy for future generations.”
